From constant burnout to boundary-setting leader
Christina came to Jane feeling completely stuck — not just in her career, but in her life. She wasn’t growing. Everything felt stagnant, and she was drowning in the doing of it all.
Working with Jane, Christina discovered the model that would change everything for her: moving from doer to changemaker. She learned to slow down, identify what truly mattered, and set boundaries that actually held — not just in theory, but in practice, with the people around her watching.
Her colleagues now look to her as a role model for how to set and maintain boundaries. Her leadership has had a ripple effect through the teams she works with. The burnout is gone. She’s no longer living to keep up — she’s leading with intention.
Jane’s coaching has completely transformed how I approach both work and life [and] has ripple effects to the teams I work with. The Leadership Connection is absolutely worth every penny.
Promoted within six months
Tara knew she had more to offer. Her performance reviews said the same thing. But the day-to-day was consuming everything — there was no space to think strategically, no room to show up as the leader she knew she could be.
Working with Jane gave Tara a different lens. She stopped waiting for permission to lead and started showing up differently — in how she was perceived, how she communicated, and how she approached the work in front of her.
Within six months, she was promoted. When she told her managers she’d been doing coaching, they weren’t surprised — they’d seen the shift. Tara credits Jane’s guidance not just with the promotion, but with rebuilding her confidence in her own capability.
I could see immediate change with how I was showing up and how I was perceived within my role. I truly believe if I hadn’t [worked with Jane], it wouldn’t have been as easy a decision to give me that promotion.
From invisible to headhunted
Seven years in the same role. No path forward she could see, no confidence she could articulate, and a deeply ingrained belief that she simply wasn’t valuable enough to go anywhere new. She walked into Jane’s first workshop sceptical, and frankly, a little resigned.
Jane challenged the identity Kate had been trading on for years — the good girl, the one who says yes to everything, the reliable fixer. She helped Kate see that brand wasn’t serving her. Everything about how Kate presented herself, her confidence, and her sense of her own worth began to shift.
She was headhunted. And — crucially — she turned it down, because she finally had enough clarity to know it wasn’t right for her. She went on to land an extraordinary role, in an environment she helped shape, with an organisation that’s now actively supporting her toward the next promotion.
I walked into that first workshop as a shell and walked out believing ‘I can do anything’. And, because of the way I’m presenting myself, I have gone on to quickly build strong relationships. My organisation is supporting my growth as a future leader with offers for promotion.
Navigated redundancy into a step forward, not back
Her role was being phased out. She was being offered something smaller, something lesser — and she knew it. With nothing lined up and everything uncertain, she was at a genuine crossroads.
The first thing Jane told her was to put herself first. It sounds simple. For this client, it was a complete reorientation. They worked on her LinkedIn presence, rebuilt how she approached recruitment, and Jane stayed close through the interviews and the negotiation — reminding her, every time her instinct was to shrink, to hold her ground.
She got a new role straight away — not the step backwards she’d been offered, but a meaningful step forward. She relocated interstate. She’s happier in her work, her environment, and her life than she’s been in years. The situation she was afraid she’d never recover from turned out to be the turning point she needed.
Small mindset shifts culminated in creating a whole new level of thinking, taking action, communicating and relationship building. Jane has a natural gift of supporting you to step up in the way you want and have the confidence to say yes to the right opportunities when they present themselves.
Working less, leading better
Sam had a phrase for how she was living: the swan. Calm and composed on the surface, paddling frantically underneath. She was putting in long hours and still couldn’t keep up. Everything felt like her responsibility — she wasn’t trusting her team, wasn’t delegating, and was constantly pulled between work and her family. Work won out most of the time. She knew something had to change, but couldn’t see how to fix it from inside it.
Working with Jane, Sam started with the thing she’d been avoiding: investing in herself. She let go of the guilt around self-care, learned to genuinely trust her team, and started delegating in a way that actually stuck. Most importantly, she carved out time and space to plan, reflect, and think — not as a luxury, but as a core part of how she led. As Sam put it, clarity comes from time and space. And once she found that clarity, everything else followed.
Sam is now a Director of a government department — working fewer hours, carrying less stress, and leading her team with a confidence and kindness that’s delivering results on high-profile projects. The frantic paddling is gone. In its place: a leadership style that’s entirely her own, and a life that has room in it again.
I’ve found a happier me with more balance between work and life outside of work. At the end of the day, that’s the ultimate gift.
